自宅近くの空地の様子を別な観点で説明します。

ティフトンの苗が順調に育ってはいますがご覧の通り、沢山の雑草がもっと勢い良く生い茂っています。

多くの方々がこれを取るべきを思われているでしょうが鳥取方式による芝生化は草取りはしないのが方針です。

苗植えからだいたい5－6週間から芝刈りを開始します。刈り高を４cmに設定し、それから週1回のペースで芝刈りをし続けます。

次第に「雑草」が減少しますのでご安心下さい。

I would like to explain the conditions of the grass project in the site near my home from a different perspective.

As you can see, the tifton seedlings are growing steadily but there are also many weeds growing much faster.

Many readers will feel impelled to remove these weeds but a basic principle of the Tottori Method is not to do so.

We start mowing the grass 5-6 weeks after planting, at a height of 4cm, and continue mowing it once a week.
