Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to you to tell of my disappointing experience at your ○× branch. I visited to hand in my ID in order to open a new current account on 15th Sep 2008, as your Bank was recommended to me in terms of customer service. I was upset and disappointed with my experience at the branch, your receptionist was not only unkind to me, but she also almost lost my passport, which you can understand is a very important document for me. I chose to visit branch to safeguard my documents but almost lost them. She took all my ID including my passport for photocopy in the back office, and she did not have my passport when she came back. When I pointed it out to her, she told me that she never got it from me. However, she definitely had a copy of my passport in her hand, and it proved she got my passport at least once. I was sure she did not give me anything back yet, I asked her again to find it. What I found most disappointing was that she kept asking me if I was sure that I did not have my passport in my bag even before she tried to look for it by herself. Finally she found my passport in the back office after 10 or 20mins, but she never apologised to me about blaming me in public before looking herself, immediately assuming that I was in the wrong when, in fact, it was she. More alarmingly, she left my important documents including my bank detail on her reception desk where many people queue up nearby. I am sure there must be some strict rules to protect private information in your bank, but I could see it was not observed at the basic level. I am really disappointed at your customer service. I hope you will improve it soon. I am sure there must be some strict rules to protect private information in your bank, but I could see it was not observed at the basic level.
