Serene state of mind

Winter Paralympics in Vancouver was closed on Mar. 22.
I would like to show appreciation for all athletes.
At this winter Olympic, some figure skaters who didn't show difficult performance won higher score than skaters who tried and failed difficult performance.
As for Olympic, it could be a kind of tactics to avoid mistakes and concentrate on each specialty.
But which skaters would move audience, who complete safer performance or who take a risk of failure and try difficult jump and spin...?
Now, back to the main story:

Setting the closed Olympic aside, it is important to take step-by-step action for higher goal in our life, as a matter of fact.
On the other hand, sometimes we need to take a risk when it comes to a crunch.
But I've read various stories about a trend of taking the least lousy choice and avoiding taking a risk.
Naturally, under such a recession, we would be cautious -at the same time, afraid and irresponsibility is hidden -recently, I feel so.
About ten years ago, I read a book by a psychoanalysis doctor who described the Ministry of Education (back then) as the Ministry of taming: They educate -or tame people walk on the line like sheep, bow to necessity, without even a murmur.
Back then, I'd never heard that one of the curriculum guidelines set by the Ministry of Education was they must not grow children with outstanding ability.
Now the result of Ministry of taming seems be coming up -or has already come up?
A vogue abbreviation that means unable to read the situation might show that, too.
And I read a recent survey finding on newspaper that more and more children becoming inward-looking and avoid getting out of line.
