Serene state of mind

Again, I'm not talking about blues.

One of the major consumer loan companies filed a bankruptcy-reorganization plan.
I had expected that such things would happen sooner or later:
For the past few years, I have seen many advertisements of law offices publicizing to help taking back overpaid interest money from consumer loan companies and solve debt problems in various other ways.
How many people have borrowed money from those consumer loan companies aside, it's not so difficult to imagine that it would be a burden for consumer loan companies if many people try to take back overpaid interest money.
However, lending money at interest higher than the regulation is against the law after all.
Then, does it mean that such consumer loan companies have been on illegal business...?
There could be some cases that some people were really saved by money from consumer loan companies, but it would be always best to avoid borrowing money from such finance companies.
Fortunately, I'm not taking a loan at such consumer loan companies -I've bought an equipment material on the easy payment plan before, though.
Then I need to learn about money management (not investing in stocks).
-Come to think of it, I wonder how much I studied about practical family finances at school -maybe at social studies or home economy classes.
Surely I remember learning about the system of credit cards at home economy classes in high school.
I think we learned how the amount of tax is fixed at social studies classes in junior high school.
And I was taught to keep petty cash books at home economy classes in elementary school -is there anything else?
And recently, I heard news about a special class about life management at a junior high school...
-How about the current situation? I might as well ask my cousin who is a high school student now...
