好きなものあれこれ・・・

For those who have yet to become a mother, I do believe that one day, most of you will become one, including me hahaa! So... to me, it's a Women's Day too :-)

I still remember when I was a kid, my teacher taught us this great song that we should sing to our mothers...

世上只有媽媽好，有媽的孩子像块寶，投進媽媽的懷抱，幸福享不暸/瞭。

世上只有媽媽好，没媽的孩子像根草，離開媽媽的懷抱，幸福哪里找？

Lately, this song flashed across my mind and brought back lots of great memories while i was about to finalise the content of the book that I'm gonna release this year. Besides singing this song in the school, I also remember the days when my mother used to teach me how to sing this song and I'm so glad that few times in my life, I had the chance to sing it to her. Although she is not here anymore, it's still so heart warming thinking about it.

Tell you all a secret...Besides this song, there's another song which we sang to her during Mother's Day...hehee! All of us, together with 2 of my cousins, sang 真的愛你 by Beyond and we sang really badly coz everyone was really enjoying it in a way that they were laughing non-stop, haha! Come to think of it now, Its so embarrassing but i am glad i did it :-)

Alright...another secret again :-) When I was 9, my dad brought my whole family to Japan and there was a time when this tour guide asked me, "Ah Chun, who do you like the most? Your father or Your mother?". Guess what was my answer??? I said I like Papa more haha!  The reason why I said that was because when I was young, I was super naughty and ended up getting hit and scolded by my mother all the time whereas my dad was mostly playing the role of the good guy:-) Few days after that, my mother told me that if I were to reply to this question again, I should say, "I like both my papa and mama :-)" My mother is so cute, right? Haha!

As I grow up, I started to appreciate what my mother have done for us. It requires a lot of willpower and discipline to take up the role as being the bad person with the intention of making sure the children grow up in the right way. Who doesn't wanna be the good guy, right? Kids never liked to be hit or scolded and of course my mother knew it but even if she knew, she didn't mind being the bad guy. You can sacrifice and not love. But you cannot love and not sacrifice.That's what a true hero is all about and very few people would want sacrifices like these in their lives.

As I grow up, I started to appreciate what my mother have done for us. For those of you who are already a mother now, Yes... it's definitely the proudest thing of all!!!I've learnt to become optimistic after all these experiences. I know that when people stop talking to you, when people stop criticizing you, when clients stop complaining to you, when your parents stop scolding you, it means that they have almost given up on you! Please don't put yourself into these kind of situations and always welcome feedbacks, ok :-)

And for those who have yet to become a mother, Good... coz once you become one, you might not have the time to give your special attention and gratitude your mother. Also, how you want your children to treat you in the future begins from how you treat your mother now. Therefore, everyday is a learning process and a reminder for all of us... Do it now and cherish them, yeah :-)
