"Munich" clocks in at over 2H but never leaves you YAMNing...

Attempting to understand what drives nation to kill other nation for any reason is [in the pit of the soul] a challenging enigma...
Whether that "REASON " is war between countries at odds, protecting one's self when endangered...evenge or vengeance for deeds perpetrated by "THE OTHER "... for panic in the moment of survival - each of these feels wrong despite the fundamental belief to the contrary at the moment of killing*****

Steven Spielberg once again impressed us with this raw...
...But very moving and exciting movie, inspired by the 1972 olympic games.
The special effects are intense..plus there's this whole big story behind... very complex..One of the Better Poltical Thrillers

A long way from E.T. now.....
......Stephen Spielberg takes a dramatic look at the revenge that taken place following the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic Games in 1972.

Spielberg is challenging to draw parallels to what is happening in the world today.
But, just to make sure we get it, Spielberg ends the movie with a stark shot of the mid-70s New York skyline, compete with the Twin Towers in the distance.
That cycle of violence continues today ＆ will probably, inevitably, continue well into the future..
Speilberg uses his abilities to great affect to support the tired homily that violence breads violence.
The MOVIE is EXCELLENT on set pieces but as a whole it has no substance, even though it is 'inspired' by real events in world history.
Speilberg strip mines resources quite well, using strangely enough, mostly non-jewish actors to play all these roles...

IMO... the MAN Speilberg is a genius filmmaker, but now he wants to make a difference he makes me wince... A must for Spielberg fans.
Speilberg did a great job turning a pulp fiction novel about the theme of cloning
In all seriousness, this movie is an exceptionally "well-made" film with all the impressive qualities of one of the finest directors of all-time helming the project..!!
