Pop-radio Friendly, but Not just Teen Pop This album by Stacie Orrico is a winner. The songs tell a story of girl that is realizing that there is more to life... "More to Life ", one of the songs on this album, will just make you think about where you life is going and why. This girl has toured with Plus One and has won the hearts of millions of fans. She is going to be around or along time.!!!!! Voice of An Angel I have the first album by stacie orrico called "Genuine" that is more about gospel music. Fortunately she grew out of the overly religious stage just as I did. I think these songs are more relatable to average people like me. As a matter of fact, Im listening to the song "That's what love's about " right now. Im one for the slow songs, and this is a gr8 one. It's the type of song you can play dancing with your boyfriend, after a breakup, or at a sleepover... It's that versatile... But enough about this song. The entire album has songs that have grown on me. Though, even the most beautiful rose has thorns. Songs like "Tight " and "I could be the one " are not as strong as others like "Stuck " and "There's gotta be more to life "... I still think it's worth the purchase.!!!! As I mentioned before, Im not very christian , but I still like this one. Not to mention what a great voice she has, and had, at such a young age... 【Stacie Orrico】 by Stacie Orrico An inspiring Christian teenage artist... You may or may not have heard her single "Stuck". More likely than not, you haven't. "Stuck" has a lot of different elements to it. Its a little (well, alot) pop, a little soul, and a little rock... Confusing Yes. But blame that on me, kids.. Don't let it ruin the album.. Anyway, "Stuck" has no dramatic musical intro. It starts off immediately which earned it mucho brownie points in my book. I can't stands those minute or two intros (e.g. Alicia Keys "Rock Wit U") so this was a welcomed break. The best thing about this song is the hook; a strong, very rock "dance in front of the mirror and belt it out " kind of deal. Stacie's vocals on the hook are slightly watered down because of the musical intensity but her sassy attitude outshines everything. The beat in the rest of the song gave me lots of problems, just trying to think of how to describe it. To me, it's a veeery synth bouncy pop song with a layer of soul underneath it.!! Dude, I need a backbone. Or a thesaurus. Anyway, the lyrics aren't as strong as the rest of the album. They're pretty ok but aren't up to the high standards she set for herself. I mean, these would be like the centerpieces to other popstars' albums but aren't up to the Orrico way. They're rather average and not that though provoking.. Overall, Orrico makes a record far beyond her years. She puts a lot of distance between her and her Christian contemporaries such as Rachael Lampa. She has such maturity in everything she does, vocals, lyrics, and just presence. Stacie shows she can go pop ("Bounce Back"), hip hop ("Tight"), or kind of rock ("More To Life"). She has a flair to her that should keep her in the business for years to come... 【Track Listings】 01. Stuck 02. More To Life (There's Got To Be) 03. Bounce Back 04. I Promise 05. Security 06.
