別府八湯・「別府湯の花」・・・

■ 別府の特産品は数多くありますが、中でも竹工芸品には感動しました。 ■ 街のいたるところで、竹工芸館があり・・・・・ 実演コーナーと即売所を併設して賑わっている。 ■ 別府のすごいのは、民芸品としての種類の多いこと・・・・・ ここれまで！「竹でつくるか！」という感じ。 ■ 日常生活の細々しい用土品、アクセサリー、家具等々、美術工芸品の領域まで・・・・・。 ■ すべてのものが、石油化学物質に替わっている昨今・・・・・・ 別府の熱意を大いに褒め称え、エコ時代の担い手になってほしいものだ。 ■ それにつけても、市のど真ん中、広大な「別府公園」・・・・・・ その「竹林」の見事なこと（写真）、別府の顔の一つ・・・・・・。 ■ Beppu's local specialties were many, but I was also impressed with bamboo work at the inside. ■ In the town, I'm going to come and there is a bamboo-working performance house......
