That was the most gentle beatdown from a Scorsese film ever.
Hahahaha The CGId someone elses legs.
They should have stayed in the grocery store and left the beating to the imagination. Thumps, clatters, the guy screaming, etc. Instead, we see a wobbly old man delivering a few feeble kicks and stepping on the guy's hand. Laughable. Still a great movie overall, though.

What an opening. The quick cut to killing Hoffa (the most impactful decision Frank made his whole life. Hoffas blood splattered against the wall to symbolize a house being painted and the garment bag that frank was packing for the wedding which symbolized a body bag as in essence his life ended that day. All within 2 minutes. The movie gets better with subsequent viewings.

Pretty sure Russell's friend he's talking about is Carlo Gambino. Accepted history is that the powers that be got together and decided to allow a hit on Anastasia so his underboss, Gambino, could slide into the spot.
