Coco and Disney will combine forces in a new anime to be released next year. The new film is set to feature the Mexican holiday of the Day of the Dead, or Día de Muertos. The movie, "Pixar's First Day of the Dead" will be produced by Disney and Pixar and directed by Lee Unkrich, who also directed Toy Story 3 and Coco.

If you're looking for a way to spice up your roster, why not try adding some new characters from outside the realm of fiction? I know, I know: you've already got one in your collection who's a living legend. But when it comes to animation, there's a whole world of options out there that never made it over here to the States.
'Coco,' the latest release by Disney/Pixar, is about a 12-year-old Mexican boy who travels to the land of the dead to find his ancestors and make peace with his own heritage. He learns that family is much more than blood—it's also culture and history—and returns home with a new appreciation for life.
But this is just one example of an anime film (basically, animated movies created in Japan) that could be worth checking out if you're hoping to expand your collection beyond reality. If you're not interested in Coco but are open to other titles with Latino characters or storylines, look into 'El Americano,' 'The Book of Life,' or 'La Leyenda de la Nahuala.' Or if an animated movie sounds like too much commitment right now, consider taking a dip into graphic novels (basically an illustrated book
