■ Wanstead Park
This park is located in Zone 4 on the Central line of the underground in northeast London. It covers an area of approximately 550,000 square meters. You can park your car on the public road near the park entrance. If you walk a little from the entrance, you can see the blue carpet in the center of the park. When I visited there, the peak had already passed. The peak is from mid-to-late April. If you want to take a photo just like you imagined, I strongly recommend mid-April. It is also an everyday walking course for local residents, so you can enjoy a light hike. You can take a pan-focus shot of the bluebells blooming all over, or you can take a macro shot to capture their delicate and pure appearance. ※ Wanstead Park (The famous bluebell spot is near The Temple) Warren Road, Wanstead, London E11 2LSwww.cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/green-spaces/epping-forest ■ Bluebells Taken by 60mm Macro. I increased the exposure a little so I could create a more ephemeral impression. The background was blurred beautifully. ![]() Nikon D850 / AF Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D / f/3.5 / 1/640sec / ISO2200 / ± 0.7 ■ Focusing on Bluebell Stamens The macro lens used this time is the film era, released in 1989. By narrowing the exposure by 1 to 2 steps, you can get a very sharp image. As the trend toward mirrorless, old lenses like this macro can be purchased at a low price now. ![]() Nikon D850 / AF Micro Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D / f/4.2 / 1/640sec / ISO1800 / ± 0.7 ■ Where to focus on Bluebells I usually don't use AF when shooting macro. I always use MF to focus on the stamens of the flowers, try to shoot with as fast a shutter speed as possible, and use a tripod to prevent camera shake.
