■ Acton Park in Ealing London Acton Park is a well-respected and loved public space in Ealing, West Lon don. It features a children's center, tennis courts, a pond, and a playground. The park is known for its mature trees and sunken garden. The park was opened to the public in 1888 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee (celebrating the 50th anniversary of Queen Victoria's accession to the throne). The park is surrounded by large lawns with large mature trees planted in a radial pattern. There are many mature trees in the park, especially the magnificent plane trees. It is a lovely relaxing spot where many people come for walks on weekends. There is a parking space around the park. You can also go to the park by train in a one-minute walk from Acton Central station. When I visited, the autumn leaves were well past their peak. I think the best time to enjoy the autumn leaves is early November. When photographing autumn leaves, it is a key to pay attention to the exposure and aperture. You can get the correct exposure by applying a slightly plus exposure for red leaves, and a slightly minus for yellow leaves. This is because the camera perceives red as dark and yellow as light. When taking panoramic landscape photos, it is a good idea to set the aperture (f) over 10 so that the image is sharp in focus from the foreground to the background. When focusing on a single leaf as in macro photography, it is best to go for the smallest aperture to get a beautiful boke of the foreground and background. ■ Red Autumn Leaves
