DJI Matrice 350 RTK: New professional drone for large payloads that defies adverse conditions
DJI has introduced a new and particularly powerful drone with the Matrice 350 RTK. When unfolded and without a propeller, the drone measures 810 x 670 x 430 millimeters and weighs an impressive 6.47 kilograms with two TB65 batteries; the maximum take-off weight is given as 9.2 kilograms. The model is protected against the damaging effects of dust and water in accordance with IP55 and should have a maximum flight time of 55 minutes.The maximum flight altitude is given as 7,000 meters, although the drone should remain operational up to a wind speed of 12 m/s. The DJI O3 Enterprise Transmission System is said to support a transmission range of up to 20 kilometers. The DJI RC Remote Control Plus is equipped with a seven-inch screen and is intended to enable optimal control.The model should benefit from extensive sensor technology, which should result in both precise positioning - via RTK and GPS - as well as protection against collisions for DJI Matrice 350 RTK. Different loads and up to three loads can be used at the same time, so mapping cameras for creating 3D maps are available, as is a full-format camera with interchangeable lenses.DJI has not directly commented on a price; a single dealer is currently listing the system for just under 10,000 euros.
