この展覧会のロシア･ハバロフスクの担当者Ａさんからのメールのお返事が来ないのでどうしたのでしょうと思っていたら。。。
なんとハバロフスクのアムール川が洪水で大変なことになっていました。
洪水の被害を助けるのに、皆が応援に行っていて大変な日々を過ごしているとのことです。
そのメールを読んだ後、パソコンで情報を見てみると、、、なんと洪水で1648棟が浸水していて、5050人が被害を受けているそうです。
2000人が避難しているとの記事を見つけました。
中国側のアムール川では、28万人が避難して、20人が亡くなっているそうです。
5月から断続的に続いた雨で水位が８００ｃｍになったと信じられない内容です。
その後もっと被害はもっと増えているのかもしれません。
６月に行った時の、ハバロフスクの個展会場の大学も山の窪地に建っていました。
皆の無事を祈っています。
あの美しかった街が、又洪水で破壊されていると思うと胸が痛みます。

The II International Festival of Children and Youth Artistic Creativity “The Russian Far East and Asia Pacific Region: The Great Pacific Ocean of Friendship and Dream”
Congratulations on the success of the II International Festival！ I am convinced that this festival will activate the cultural exchange between the Russian Far East and Asia Pacific Region. It is exciting that young people in different regions interchange each other through art, since art touches the heart of people regardless the difference of nations, races, languages and religions. Mutual understanding is the first step to the world peace.
Having a look at the selected work pieces I was quite impressed by their earnest genuineness. In the beautiful landscape photographs I felt the photographer’s sincere love to his or her country. In the paintings I found different ways of drawing depending on the country, which must be a charm of interchange of the different cultures. Actually, all the work pieces are impressive.
I have held 85 private exhibitions in Japan and overseas for about 20 years under the title of “Message of Universal Love”, and also “International Exhibitions for Peace” in various cities of the world. Each of my paintings contains a message in it that we are made alive by the love from the Greater Creator of the Universe who stands above nations, races, languages and every kinds of religion.
It is my sincere desire that young people in many countries can make a painting with “Bright Dream” or “Bright Message” in it, and “Dreamful Future” will be opened in the world.
