The movie started out fine, entertaining then halfway through they must of let some 10 year old boys finish writing and directing it because the characters became very cartoonish.
Gets worst as the movie goes be one of Mark's worst Movies. A few comedic moments but over all so weak. Terrible script, stereotypical Boston characters and painfully predictable.
I was looking forward to Spenser Confidential because I am a massive fan of some of Peter Berg's other films, but I was also a little apprehensive because his last film, Mile 22, was poorly received. In addition, it was being released on Netflix instead of in the cinema. That's not necessarily a bad sign, but it's definitely not a good one either.

Unfortunately, Spenser Confidential is a bad film, with a few redeeming qualities. The main aspect on the positive side is Mark Wahlberg's performance. I have seen him much better than he was in this film, but he was still good and I always like watching him in films. It was also competently directed, with some beautiful cinematography.

What makes Spenser Confidential a bad film is the narrative. It wasn't compelling, and it could be downright boring at times. None of the characters were fleshed-out, and this meant that I didn't really care about their story.

There were also a few moments which took me completely out of the film because they were highly unrealistic for the world that Berg had set up. The bathroom scene in the restaurant and the dog scene shortly afterwards are the prime examples, and I'm sure you know which scenes I am referring to if you've seen the film. This was down to the screenplay, and nothing about it worked all that well for me.

Spenser Confidential definitely has some redeeming qualities, but it was tough to get through, with a boring and generic narrative, and I would advise people stay away from it.

SCORE: 48.

Spenser kanunlari c4 b1 service.
