Regime Change
I don’t expect Japanese politicians too much regardless to whether they are in LDP (Liberal Democratic Party) or in DPJ (Democratic Party Japan). Dno’t ask me about other minor parties, because they don’t have enough voice in the Diet.DPJ members consist mainly of old LDP break-aways. Their policies don’t seem so far away from those of LDP. That’s why LDP and DPJ are always finding fault with each other. Important bills are designed and drafted by the bureaucrats who believe that they can not only control incapable politicians but also lead Japanese society to their favorable direction.Medias predict DPJ will win the coming general election and regime shift will come true. The trouble is, however, whether DPJ has enough capability to help Japanese economy out of this downturn and build a comfortable society for every citizen. The latter is, I think, also impossible for LDP.And then, which is better? I have no idea. But I can say this: Give a chance to DPJ and we’ll watch them carefully.
