Al Neri was one of my favorites. Real cop that turned bad after beating a couple men with his Billy cub and Michael exposed that.
I just love how when he puts the cat on the desk that remains in it's place Like it doesn't want to go anywhere.

Talk about super dark irony🤣🤣🤣 This scene is even more amazing as Michael Corleone is renouncing the devil but morphed into the Devil's Advocate 😈.
If I ever go to Italy, my cannoli would be eaten by me listening to this masterpiece.
I always wondered this ive seen it in the sopranos and the godfather why do they leave the gun at the crime scene isnt that just gonna leave your fingerprints.
This is the scene that sealed the deal for Al Pacino as Michael Corleone.

This movie reminds me so much of Macbeth, especially this scene. This scene is like the one where Macbeth kills King Duncan because it is the beginning of the main character's fall from being a decent person who is fairly happy with their place in life into becoming a power-mad, murderous tyrant.


I love that scene where Michael sitting at the table after getting the gun giving that look that crazy look like im gonna rip your guts out.

When I finally decided to watch The Godfather, I announced it to my family and my dad walked up to the tv screen asking for a fucking pointer stick because he was going to discuss the whole goddamn movie, comparing it to the books, explaining the Sicillian way, the undertones, etc. Its amazing how a movie can turn your lawyer father into a giddy fanboy/nerd (Id totally be like that if I have kids.
2:52 You can see Vito Corleone's best friend from Godfather II in the back round. His friend is probably a time-traveling Italian that's in the mafia.

Fun fact, Caan hurt Russo for real with a few of these, broke several ribs.
