However, there are many types of telescopes, so it is hard to choose one. I want to share some basic information for people who want to start stargazing like me. 凸レンズを使って光を集める、最も一般的な形の望遠鏡です。 This type uses a lens to collect light. It is the most common style. 鏡筒が密閉され、メンテナンスがほぼ不要で初心者向き。 The tube is sealed, so it needs almost no maintenance. It is great for beginners. 筒の中の空気が揺れにくく、シャープでコントラストの良い像が見える。 The air inside the tube is stable, so you can see sharp and clear images. 出してすぐに観測を始められる。 You can start watching right away.
大きなレンズを作るのは難しいため、大型になるほど高価になる。 Large lenses are difficult to make, so they cost more as they get bigger.
レンズの特性上、星の周りにわずかに色が付いて見えることがある。 Because of the lens, you might see a little extra color around the stars.
凹面鏡（ミラー）を使って光を反射させ、一点に集めるタイプです。 This type uses a mirror to reflect light. ● Pros (メリット) 鏡はレンズより安く作れるため、同じ予算なら屈折式より大きなものが買える。 Mirrors are cheaper than lenses, so you can buy a bigger one for the same price. レンズを通さないため、色のにじみが全く出ない。 Since it doesn't use a lens, there is no color fringing at all. 鏡の角度を調整したり、掃除が必要になることがある。 You need to adjust the mirror or clean it sometimes.
外気との温度差で空気が揺れやすく、像が安定するまで時間がかかる。 It takes time for the image to become stable because of the temperature difference.
初心者の方には、メンテナンス不要な屈折式がおすすめです。 For beginners, I recommend the Refractor type because it is easy to maintain. 「なるべく安く、暗い星までしっかり見たい」という方には、反射式が向いています。 If you want to see faint stars at a lower price, the Reflector type is better. I have seen the Moon, Saturn, and Jupiter before. Now, I want to see star clusters and nebulae.
