After reading the books, I can say that Hopkins did a phenomenal job playing Dr. Lecter. He is the only Hannibal Lecter in my eyes.

Something that the video doesn't mention is that while yes, when you first see hannibal lecter standing there in his cell, he's not showing any signs of insanity, to me he is terrifying anyway because he seems so. artificial. Yes he's not showing any signs of insanity but he's not normal because a normal person would just looking bored, lying on the bed, maybe reading. However, he's just standing in the middle of his cell, unmoving, with a perfect posture. Its almost like he's TRYING to appear normal but just comes off creepy because its not actually normal in the slightest. However, he's a psychologist so it has to be intentional. The best way I can describe it is that it is like he knew she was coming and decided to do the creepiest thing he could think of, which was in fact, nothing, like an absence of any sort of traits so she couldn't read him. And that is terrifying because you have NO idea what to expect.

Every time I look up anything about mcjuggernuggets this movie pops up.
Ive been craving another film like this ever since Ive watched it. still waiting.

First time I ever watched this movie, and I gotta say it's really freaking good. When I watch these old black and white movies, I'm so used to them being so tame, Singing in the Rain and Mary Poppins are the first movies that come to mind. Seeing a movie like this is a breath of fresh air. The writing is phenomenal, and the twist at the end I never saw coming. As a person who loves Citizen Kane and The Shining, This is my kind of movie. I need to watch more Hitchcock films. And as a side note YouTube, can you make this work on the internet browser for my Wii U? I just want to watch it on my TV without having to get the laptop out. Thanks.

Hey this lady looks like the same lady who played the mother from the movie Old.
I remember seeing this in the cinema when it came out. After the build up they gave Lecter, you were wondering what the hell was going to be in the cell at the end when she's walking down the corridor. Then there's just this guy standing there staring. It was scary. The whole film scared the bejeezus out of me.
