Hau'oli Cafe　～フラガールのLOHAS的生活～

２日前の日記でお恥ずかしくも公開したThe linguistに提出した英作文。
こんな風になって返ってきました。

If you live in the countryside, you can feel more changes in the seasons than in the city.

Though I was born in a big city and had been there for about 27 years, I got married and moved to this countryside two years ago.

Everyone wonders why I gave up urban life and chose the inconvenient life,

but I am really enjoying this place.

There is clean air, nice food, a wide road to drive, and so forth.

Just seeing a flying kite makes me excited,

and the thing I like best is the changing of the seasons,

especially the colors that change from season to season.

We enjoy colorful flowers in spring, green rice fields in summer, red and yellow leaves in autumn and white snow in winter.

I never felt the differences in the seasons' colors when I was in a big city.

I am really happy to be here.


色がついているところが正しく直された箇所です。

冠詞がやはり甘い…というか曖昧みたい。
太字にしてあるところは全部抜けてたものです。

それからナゼか季節を表す単語を大文字で始めてたり、（autumnだけなぜ普通に小文字で？）動詞に必要のない三人称のSをつけてたり、というポカミスもあります。

そして結構多かったミスが必要以上に文をブツブツと切ってしまっていたこと。（下線部分）

結果、12 mistakes per 100 words　ということでした。

だけど、この添削と一緒に返ってきたチューターからのお手紙の冒頭に

“Welcome to The Linguist! I am sure that you will achieve your goal of becoming a native English speaker.”

なんて言葉をつけてもらっちゃって、ますますやる気を出したふうらです。
褒められて伸びるタイプみたい？（笑）

いよいよDISCUSSIONも経験してみようとSKYPEをセットアップしました。
オンラインで第３者としゃべるなんて、今まで経験したことがないので半信半疑なところがあります。
ちゃんとマイクやイヤホンは機能するのだろうか？とか、ちょっとドキドキです。

またここに報告したいと思います。
