小澤征爾さんアメリカ名誉賞受賞 The first Japanese to receive the Kennedy Center Honors

アメリカの芸術と文化に対する貢献で日本の指揮者、小澤征爾さんが名誉賞を受賞した。ケネディセンター賞受賞の最初の日本人である。小澤さんはボストン交響楽団を29年間指揮してきた。 アメリカ大統領オバマ氏は、「小澤さんは肘、指、膝、髪の毛など全身をバトンのように使って完全に記憶のみで情熱的で精密なパフォーマンスで指揮して聴衆を魅了してきた」と称賛した。（ＮＫＨニュースで英会話より） Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa has been honored for his contribution to American arts and culture. He is the first Japanese to receive the Kennedy Center Honors. Ozawa directed the Boston Symphony Orchestra for 29 years.
