It was really hot today. students;Kazumi,? Today's lesson G10 The grass is alwayss greener. instructor:Bani We were talking talking about saying and proverb. Love Love is blind. Opposites attract Money Money doesn't grow on trees. A fool and his money are soon parted. Age You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Youth is wasted on the young. Work Many hands make light work. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. When people say that,what they mean is that if people work all the time,they forget how to have fun and never have interesting to talk about. Guessing at/inquring about meaning Is ("love is blind ")like...? When you say ("love is blind") ,do you mean...? I presume you mean... Explaining meaning When people say ("love is blind")what they mean is... I think it's bit like... Expressing lack of comprehension. What do you mean? Huh? I don't get it. I'm not with you. Giving the example You know how some people seem to like the most unsuitable peple,right?Well,It's kind of like that. Well,for example my friend goes out with this real slob,but thinks he's great. Ok,for instance have you ever...? A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Variety is the spice of life. You know how it's interesting to try new things,right?Well,it's kind of like that Don't count your chikens bofore they've hatched. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Too many cooks spoil the broth.
