Now I have started to notice container lorries, there seem to be quite a few of them. Full sized and half sized ones, too. And I actually saw one with a name on it, in Chinese. I wonder where they are all going to, or coming from locally?

These are the ‘pairs of things’ I can think of quickly.
scissors, pliers, swimming trunks, gloves, boots, shoes, trousers, stockings, tights, slippers, shears, socks, glasses, pants, knickers, shorts, hands, eyes, jeans, handlebars, tweezers, ear-rings, ears.
There are, of course, many more but we are going into the realms of native speaker levels of English then.

The day was bright initially, but then clouded over and rained. By the evening it had turned cold and windy, but the rain had stopped.

It has been an international rugby day today. England has just beaten France, which is always a nice feeling.

My sister has had a bit of an accident and has broken a bone in her right hand. As she is a chiropodist and needs nimble fingers I wonder if she will be able to go to work next week?
