It’s a pity, but I won’t be going to the food tasting thing. It has been oversubscribed and so, as a newcomer, I have been excluded. Oh well, next time maybe.

It was very windy last night and a few more of the wisteria leaves have fallen, but there are still some left as a covering for the bare winter branches.

My cold is very much better today, thank you. However, my nose is rather itchy

Sid has been very quiet of late; I think he was a bit shocked when Bill told him to mind his own business when he commented that Bill should think carefully before doing something personal. Bill can be quite stern when riled.

We frequently get telephone calls for taxis, for an estate agent and a tattoo parlour, but yesterday we had a new one. A lady wanted to speak to the vet about her cat!!

Goodness me, the sun is so low in the sky even at midday these days. Still, I suppose it is not that long before we are at the shortest day.

There are a lot of berries on the trees this year. Old people usually say that this is a sign that there is going to be a hard winter. I’m more inclined to think it means that there was a hard winter last year (which there was). Can a tree forecast the weather?
