We had an inch (two and a half centimetres) of snow overnight, which has made everything look very wintry again. The trees are covered and looking pretty, but the roads are clear. Not so the canal, it’s frozen over here.



I haven’t taken the car out since the beginning of the snowy weather, which was on Thursday, but I have to take it out today as it has an appointment with the service station which does its annual government safety check. I am not looking forward to it.

So in all we have had five inches of snow. I wonder how much that is in rain?
