 After I enjoyed a play about Akiko Yosano and Tekkan Yosano in July of last year, I came to want to read some books about Akiko. I hadn't known she had as many as twelve children; she wrote and wrote while raising her children in order to support the family. I hadn't known Tekkan had visited Europe and Akiko had followed him; as it was the time just before I would come to my husband's place for the first time, I said to my husband, "I will follow you like Akiko!" Of course, it brought laughter to my husband as usual… Thanks to this book, I came across many of her tanka I hadn't known. I came to love the tanka 「三十路をば 越していよいよ みづからの 愛ずべきを知り 黒髪を梳く」at once. I would like to read 「源氏物語」translated by Akiko this year. お気に入りの記事を「いいね！」で応援しよう
