The List of Songs I've learned

1 O'Come All Ye Faithful This is the song I learned for the first time. I was happy to learn a traditional gospel song, Just listening to the song raises me up. 2 Let Me Live I was hardly interested in music. Until I learned this song in the lesson,  I only knew the name “Queen”. By the way, when I was a high school student, I had a classmate who was a big fan of Queen. Everything I knew about “Queen” was there was a person with long curled hair ... However, when I listened to "Let Me Live" and knew the lyrics for the first time, I became want to know about Queen and Freddie Mercury more. After that, for a while, I've been listening to Queen’s songs all the time. (My youngest daughter who likes movies said, "Freddie is much cooler than Rami Malek," so I haven't watched the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" yet. ) Every time I learn a new song, I am moved very much.  3 Dancing Queen The movie "Mamma Mia" is one of my eldest daughter’s favorite. As for me, on a Mediterranean cruise, I saw the movie at the movie theater of the cruise ship at the night before calling at a Greek port. I’m really glad that I became able to sing the insert song of "Mamma Mia".  Every time I sing the song, I’m excited!  4 Jesus Loves Me This is a lullaby made for children. The melody and lyrics are simple. I feel healing while singing this song. 5 Oh Happy Day This song is an insert song of the movie "Love Song for Angels 2". I'm familiar with it As the solo leads the choir, in addition, the lyrics are simple, I feel it’s much easier to sing the song than others; it makes me happy. 6 Joyful Joyful This song is an insert song of the movie "Love song for angels 2", too. It is an exciting song, especially, in the part of rap! 7 Shiroi Koibitotachi I had never heard this song until I learned it in the lesson. When I told the story, my eldest daughter said with a big surprise, "Is it true⁉" Yes, it is true. I hardly listen to the lyrics while tasting the meaning. But, while practicing the song for my first live, I couldn’t help appreciating the bittersweet lyrics ...  8 Total Praise This is a majestic song. Every time I sing the song, I feel that my heart is cleansed. 9 All I Want For Christmas Is You When I listened to this song, I was able to think of Mariah Carey in Santa Clause’s costume. I sing the song in high spirits and feel the best. 10 Bohemian Rhapsody I haven’t learned the song to the end because of the tight schedule for the next live. Unfortunately, the live was canceled at the last minute due to COVIC-19 ... I eagerly want to try it again. ​1 O' Come All Ye Faithful ​初めて習った曲。 トラディショナルな曲で、これぞゴスペルとうれしくなりました。 （わたしの勝手なイメージ） 聴いているだけで気分が上がる​1曲です。  2 Let Me Live ​ほとんど音楽に興味のなかったわたし。 Queen のことも、レッスンでこの曲を習うまで、 名前しか知りませんでした。 Queenと言われて思い浮かんだのは、 そう言えば、高校生の頃、Queenの大ファンの同級生がいたなぁ、 たしか髪の毛が長くてくるくるしている人がいたなぁ…、 ということだけ。 ですが、"Let Me Live" を始めて聞いて、歌詞を知って、 Queenのこと、フレディ・マーキュリーのこと、 もっと知りたくなり、 しばらく、Queen三昧の日々を過ごすことになりました。 （映画好きの次女が、 「フレディはもっとかっこいい」 と言ったので、映画「ボヘミアンラプソディー」は観ていません。） この後も、新しい曲を習う度、 こんなに素敵な曲に出会えるなんて！ と感動の連続です  3 Dancing Queen 長女が大好きな「マンマミーア」 地中海クルーズで、ギリシャの港に寄港する前夜、 クルーズ船の映画館で観た「マンマミーア」の挿入歌を 歌えるようになるなんて もちろん、歌う度、ノリノリです  4 Jesus Loves Me ​子どものための作られた子守歌。 メロデイーも歌詞もシンプル。 歌っている間中、癒しを感じます​。  5 Oh Happy Day ​「天使にラブソングを２」の挿入歌。 なじみがあるし、 ソロを追いかけて歌う、 歌詞がシンプルということで、​ わたしにとって、うれしい1曲。 ​​ ​​6 Joyful Joyful ​「天使にラブソングを２」挿入歌。 途中でラップも入り、盛り上がります！ ​  7 白い恋人達」 この曲も、レッスンで習うまで1度も聴いたことがありませんでした。 長女が、 「そんなことある～⁉」 と、とても驚いていましたが、事実です 普段は、歌詞を味わいながら聴くということもほぼわたし…。 初ライブに向けて練習しながら、 歌詞のせつなさをかみしめました…。  8 Total Praise ​荘厳な曲。 歌う度、心が清められていると感じます。 ​​  9 All I Want For Christmas Is You ​ さすがのわたしも、この曲を聴いた時には サンタ姿のマライアキャリーを思い浮かべることができました ノリノリで歌えて、最高の気分を味わうことができます。 ​​ 10 Bohemian Rhapsody ライブの準備のため、途中までしか練習していない曲。 そのライブは、コロナのため、直前に中止になってしまったのですが…。 ぜひぜひ、再チャレンジしたい曲です。 11 Seasons Of Love 1度聴いて、メロディーも歌詞も大好きになりました。 ミュージカル「レント」 観てみたいです。 12 Top of the World カーペンターズの懐かしい曲。 この歌を歌えるようになる日が来るなんて、 中学生のときのわたしに教えてあげたいです 13  Lean on Me メロディーも歌詞も素敵です。 歌っていて、とても元気づけられます。 辛いことがあったら、この曲を歌おう！ この曲に出会えてよかったと心の底から思いました。 14 Chariot (I Will Follow You) 「天使にラブソングを」挿入歌。 ”There isn't a ocean too deep, a mountain so high it can keep, keep me away from his love,” というところの歌詞とメロディが特に好きです。 15 Shout リズムが楽しい曲です。 ”Shout！””Shout！”… 16 Hallelujah クインシー・ジョーンズ・スーパープロジェクトの ”Handel’”Messiah の最終曲。 とにかくかっこいいです！ 追いかけ合う感じ、ハーモニーがたまりません！ 17 You Raise Me Up 美しい曲です。 気持ちよく歌い上げているという気分を味わえます。 （大きな勘違い） 18 When The Saint Go Marchin' In アレンジが楽しいです。 ”Marchin’In” が「街に」と聞こえるので、 歌う度に、何だか不思議な気分になります 19 Joy to the World ​これもかっこいい曲ですが、 体調を崩していた時期にレッスンを何度かお休みしてしまったので、 未だに、楽譜を追いかけるのがやっとという感じ…。 自主練、頑張ります！​ 20 Power to the People ”Power to the Poeple” と繰り返して歌う度、 どんどん元気になっていく！と実感できる曲。 きっと聴いてくれる人も、どんどん元気になれるはず！ 　　　　　　　　　 今までのゴスペルレッスン曲を振り返ってみて、 あらためて、このボーカルスクールに出会えてラッキーだったなぁ と思います。 先生、教室のみなさん、 こんなわたしですが、 これからもよろしくお願い致します ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
