Hanging Hina (つるし雛)
近所のデパートの入口に飾ってありました。と言っても、先月の話です。何とか、3・3に間に合いました。Every year on 3rd. of march (Girl's day), Japanese celebrates the Doll Festival (Hina matsuri). On this day every year, families decorate special step-altar on which to set their Emperor and Empress dolls, called "Hina" in Japanese. However it is normally very gorgeous and costs very very high.Hanging hina was generated as cheaper hina by using an old kimono cloth and making by hand. By hanging it by code, it does not require the bigger space for setting and child can play on touching them.
