Festival "Tori no ichi"

Today I visited Torinoichi at Tori shrine. Tori no Ichi Fair (open-air market) is a famous annual event in November on the day of the Tori (Rooster) in Chinese calendar. A special thing on Tori no Ichi was "Bamboo Rake for good luck". A highly decorated bamboo rake was particular popular as goods to bring happiness and prosperity in business. It is said that to bring happiness for New Year is to change a bigger bamboo rake year by year. （Cited "HP of Torinoichi")I boutght my Bamboo rake for good luck at Yoshida-ya.Bamboo rake made by Yoshida store uses only natural materials of bamboo and paper.Ms.Yoshida who is the owner of Yoshida-ya  was born in 1921. She still crafts them and sells at the festival.A young boy came to her and shop a small bamboo-rake. And also he tried to give her tip!Once she refused to receive it, but sooner she changed her mind.She received his tip, and give the money back to him, saying that  "This is special alllowance for you! Keep it!!!" 本日は酉の市に行ってまいりました！商売繁盛！のラッキーアイテム、熊手を購入。よし田屋さんで買おうと決めていました。と言うのもよし田屋さんはすべて手書きでプラスチックなどを使っていないのです！しかも書き手は三代目吉田啓子氏。1921年生まれの御歳87歳！！！いまだに現役です。一緒に写真を撮っていただいたのですが。。。残念ながらピンボケ。。。 こちらがよし田屋さんの2寸サイズ。記念にもっと大きいものを！2万円のを買おうと思ったのですが、店の人にこちらを薦められました。小さいのを買って毎年毎年徐々に大きいのを買うんですって！来年もまたちょっとサイズの大きいのもが買えるようになっていたらうれしいですまた、小学生くらいの男の子が4000円の一番小さい熊手を買ったのですが、吉田さんにご祝儀をと、小銭を出したんです。すると、吉田さんは一度断ったのですが、すぐに受け取ると。。。「ありがとう。じゃあ。。。これはお小遣い。とっておいてね。」とその後祝儀をその男の子に手渡したのです。。。 おお！超カッコイイ87歳です。アンナ職人さんに私もなりたいなあ～～～！
