In contrast, the infection is contained in the countries where women are the top political leaders. In Taiwan and New Zealand where the women head the countries, the numbers of infections and deaths are very small. Four of five Nordic countries are led by women leaders. In Finland and Iceland corona virus pandemic is contained. In Sweden where the prime minister is a man, the death rate is higher than other European countries. Germany's death rate is relatively small among big European countries. Its chancellor Angela Merkel is a distinguished female leader.
Japan's infection and death numbers per capita are the largest in Asia. Japanese prime minister Abe appears to priolitize economy and the revision of constitution over covid-19 pandemic. Female leaders are concerned about people's lives as well as economy and diplomacy. Male leaders of big countries such as president Trump of the US and prime minister Abe of Japan face the lowering of their approval rates as a result of underestimating Covid-19 pandemic.
