帝国ホテルの景色

　写真は、帝国ホテル脇に出た中秋の名月、帝国ホテルロビーの装花、帝国ホテルのイルミネーション、日比谷ステップ広場です。　The photos：the Imperial Hotel with a full moon, ornamental flower at the lobby of the Imperial Hotel、illuminations in front of the Imperial Hotel、illuminations at the Hibiya Step Square.【Bon appétit !】　The second Imperial Hotel was built from 1919 to 1923, and officially opened on 1 September 1923. This hotel was the best-known of Frank Lloyd Wright's buildings in Japan. 真っ白になった富士山

　今朝は、霧が一面に立ち込めていました。　太陽が昇るにつれ、富士山が見え始め、今朝は、雪を頂いて真っ白な姿に変わっていました。　写真は、さいたま市の荒川左岸から見た景色です。　Covered with snow, Mount Fuji has turned white this morning seen from the Arakawa Rive, Saitama City.【Bon appétit !】　Mount Fuji eruption fears continued into the 2020s. In 2021, a new hazard map was created to help residents plan for evacuation, stoking fears because of its increased estimate of lava flow and additional vents. Soon afterwards, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit the area, sending the phrase "Mt Fuji eruption" trending on Twitter. However, the Japan Meteorological Agency assured the public the earthquake did not increase the eruption risk. 円太郎バス

　写真は、円太郎バスと、新橋-国際展示場間を走る連接バスの内部です。　東京ビッグサイトで先月開催された「バスまつり2024」で都営バスの源流となった「円太郎バス」が展示されていました。T型フォードのトラック用バージョンであるTT型シャーシに簡易なバスボディを架装したものです。　市民の重要な足となっていた東京市電が、関東大震災で壊滅的な被害を受けた為に、東京市が急遽800台導入したものだそうです。路面電車運転士などが緊急に自動車免許を取得、運行に当たりました。　シルエットが、円太郎馬車と呼ばれていた明治時代の乗合馬車に似通っていた為に「円太郎バス」と呼ばれる呼ばれるようになったということです。　このバスは、1台が現存していて、機械遺産に認定されていて、また、自動車としては初めて重要文化財に指定されています。　One of photos is Entaro Bus and the other is the inside of an articulated bus run between Shimbashi and Kokusaitenjijo.　After the Great Kanto Earthquake, the City of Tokyo introduced the Entaro Bus, convering Ford Model TT trucks into buses, which were affectionately called “Entaro.”　The Entaro Bus was designated an important cultural property of Japan. 【Bon appétit !】　The Entaro Buses were purchased by Japan after the earthquake in Japan in September 1923. All the roads and tram lines were destroyed and the TT chassis were ordered from Ford to provide transportation for the population.　800 TT chassis were ordered and delivered in January 1914. 今朝の富士山

　今朝は冷え込み、さいたま市秋ヶ瀬公園付近の土手に霜が降りました。昨日の朝は、自転車を握る手の指先が今シーズン初めてかじかみました。　写真は、荒川土手から撮ったものです。　Photos are Mount Fuji seen this morning from the bank of the Arakawa river, Saitama City.【Bon appétit !】　Mount Fuji was added to the World Heritage List as a Cultural Site on June 22, 2013. According to UNESCO, Mount Fuji has "inspired artists and poets and been the object of pilgrimage for centuries". UNESCO recognizes 25 sites of cultural interest within the Mount Fuji locality. 光に包まれた上野の山

　たまたま国立博物館前の広場の近くを通ったら、噴水の周りがライトアップされていました。　調べたら、「創エネ・あかりパーク2024」というイベントで、ライトアップに使用されている電力は地球にやさしいグリーン電力だそうです。イベントは2024年11月4日まで行われているということで、このイべントを通じて、新しいエネルギーやカーボンニュートラルへの理解が深まることを期待しているとのことでした。　I happened to visit Ueno Park, Ueno, only to find a light-up exhibition. They say they are using green energy for lighting-up to deepen understanding of new energy and carbon neutrality, being kind to the earth.
