世阿弥の佐渡

雨乞いの面↑（2015年9月21日、佐渡島） 目の前に見せられた鬼の面は、世阿弥が身に着けたと言われています。 見るからに苦渋に満ちた鬼が箱の中に納められています。 「鬼気迫る鬼よりも鬼の内面的な苦しみを演じるべき」と言った世阿弥の想いが感じられます。 正法寺の境内には、世阿弥が腰掛けた「腰掛け石」もあり、ここ佐渡島に流された世阿弥が偲ばれます。 鬼の面は「雨乞いの面」と呼ばれていて、猿楽面から能面の移行期に位置づけられる面であると住職さんに教えていただきました。 佐渡は、明治時代には200以上の能舞台があり、村人たちが競って能を舞っていました。 現在でも日本に有る能舞台の３分の１が佐渡にあります。 【Bon appétit !】 　In 1434, Zeami was exiled to Sado Island. He completed his last recorded work two years later, providing a detailed first-person account of his exile. In the account he conveys a stoic attitude toward his misfortunes. Little is known about the end of his life, but it was traditionally believed that he was pardoned and return to the mainland before his death. Zeami died in 1443 and was buried in Yamato.
