思いがけず小生は今日から3連休でクリスマスを休む事が出来ました。
さて11月からヨーロッパに行っている小熊からクリスマスメッセージが届いたので皆さんにもご披露しましょう。
ドイツに居る彼女と彼女の実家のあるポーランドを根城に、優雅に時を過しているようで我息子ながら非常に羨ましい！！
今年のヨーロッパは暖冬異変で未だに雪が降らないそうです。
こうして見ると、他所の国に行っても割りとその国に直ぐに馴染んでしまうというか、その国でも気楽に生活できるの性格はどうやら親の小生に似たようで
年末のお忙しい時ですが、時間があれば彼の日記を読んでやってください。
Hello family!
How are you all doing? I hope everyone is not too stressed and busy I am having a wonderful time here in Europe. We have just arrived at Anna's Parents house, and tomorrow the rest of her family will come over and we will celebrate Christmas all together. It's kind of funny, because I never thought I will see my self in Europe 3 years ago. But here I am happy as ever! This year it has not snowed yet, it's not as cold as it was last year.
But it still gets dark really quickly, and everyone is in the Christmas spirit, we have a beautiful fresh Christmas tree, and it smells really nice, its not a plastic one like ours use to be. . It is now decorated with lots of shinny balls and lamps. In Poland we do not put the presents under the tree until Christmas Eve, which is tomorrow. Everyone is really excited about it.
I have spent the last couple of weeks going back and forth between Germany and Poland. My passport is starting to become really full of stamps, and I only have 3 blank pages left. Every time I go through the boarder I get 2 stamps and 2 stamps on the way back. So you can see how quickly one page can be filled up, 6 stamps per page. Anyway, I think if I run out of room, I need to go to the Japanese embassy in Germany, and ask for an extension? I am not quite sure, maybe some one can tell me.
Last week, Anna's Dad took me out to the forest for shooting practice. It was so awesome, he handed me a 12 gauge vertical double barrel shotgun, and he took me trap shooting, it took me a little bit to get use to aiming and the recoil, but soon I managed to hit almost every target!! It was awesome! I lost my hearing for a couple of hours. It was so loud; especially when you shoot twice at one go! But it was so fun. He said next time he will take me out to shoot a sniper rifle :) and we will shoot rabbits, I can't wait for it. My shoulder was quite sore afterwards but I would love to go again. I have a small video and some photos I will send later.)
We also made a huge bon fire at the back of her house, and we made a little area with seats and threw in huge logs of wood. The fire was massive! We sat on a piece of log and we cooked sausages on a stick all night. It was really cool, like camping in a forest. The sausages tasted 100% better because it was done in a fire.
So as you can see, I am enjoying my self here. I can't believe it has already been 2 months. I have been helping Anna writing her work. So she can come next year to NZ.
So everything is working out quite nice!!
For new years, we will be going deeper south of Poland, a big city called Krakow, its suppose to be the cultural centre of Poland, with old architecture, and arts.
The tourist centres said that it will be the next Prague of 2007, so we are quite lucky!! I will take lots of photos, and send them to you as well. We will be leaving by train on 30th, and spend 31st, 1st and come back on the 2nd to Germany. We have also made plans to go to Spain just before I go to France.
So maybe on 4th of February, me and Anna will fly to Spain, Madrid, and spend 3 nights together experiencing the heart of Spanish culture. It should be really cool, and then I will fly directly to France on the 7th, (flight only costs 16 nz dollars!) and fly out on the 7th night.
So my holiday has still got a lot to come! I hope everyone is going to have a wonderful Christmas, I wish you all the very best for 2007! and hope to see you when I come back!
