I love movies. I love watching romantic comedies, horror, mystery, action, suspense, musicals, etc and they are mostly Hollywood movies. I do not mean I do not like other countries films. I watch Japanese, Korean, Chinese and French sometimes. However, I only saw one DVD movie in last few months. That was "Modigliani" (2004 Andy Garcia). I thought this movie is about the art but it was not. It is about love, a tragic love based on a real story. Modigliani and Jeanne instantly fell in love when they met first time at the art school. Although they had an beautiful baby girl, Jeanne's father did not admit their relationship since Modigliani was Jew and forced them apart. Jeanne could not forget Modigliani. She gave up her baby and escaped from her parents. Jeanne devoted herself to love Modigliani. But this silly alcoholic artist got drank and drugged himself. He finally decided to participate a competition to win the first prize and earn the money for Jeanne and their baby and spent night and day to finish his masterpiece. Very sad and shocking ending. I just lost the word. I saw this DVD December 30th in the middle of busiest days and was too depressed and had a hard time to be prepare for New Year's shopping. Stupid me. 映画が大好きです。ラブコメ、　ホラー、ミス テリー、アクション、サスペンス、ミュージカル等ハリウッド映画が中心です。　そ の他の国の映画が好きじゃないというわけではありません。 時々、日本、韓国、中 国（香港）、フランス映画を見ます。 ですが、ここ数ヶ月で見たのはＤＶＤ１本だけ。「モディリアーニ」（２００４年　 アンディ・ガルシア）です。アートについての映画だと思っていたのですが、違いま した。実話に基づいた愛、悲劇の愛についての映画です。 モディリアーニとジャンヌはアートスクールで始めて会った時から、すぐに恋に落ち ます。可愛い女の子が生まれますが、ジャンヌの父親はモディリアーニがユダヤ教徒 であるため、二人の関係を認めず、二人を引き離します。ジャンヌはモディリアーニ を忘れることができず、赤ちゃんをあきらめ、両親の元から逃げ出したのです。ジャ ンヌは献身的な愛をモディリアーニに捧げますが、馬鹿でアル中の芸術家は飲んだく れて、ドラッグに溺れます。ついにジャンヌと赤ん坊のために、コンテストで優勝し 賞金を得ようと決め、作品を仕上げるため昼夜時間を費やすのでした・・・。 とても悲しい、ショッキングなエンディングです。言葉を失いました。このＤＶＤを 忙しい１２月３０日に見たのですが、落ち込みすぎてお正月の準備の買い物に行くの に大変でした。おバカな私。
