And when we use these for adjective, we pronounce like this. 　大きい (ookii) This shirt is 大きい　です(desu)。 小さい（chiisai)　That flower is 小さい　です。 小学校 (shou gakkou)　＝ an elementary school　　 (*学校＝school) 中学校 (chuu gakkou)　＝　a junior high school [ 高等学校 (koutou gakkou)　＝ a　high school] 大学 (dai gaku)　＝an university 人　(nin, jin, hito) = person 　大人（otona) = adult 日本人　(nihon jin) = japanese オーストラリア人(osutoraria jin)　＝　australians 　We sometimes use "大" for "very". 私（watashi) wa あなた ga 大好き(daisuki)　です。 大、大、大、大すき、Darling！！！ Thank you
