agility4fun＃２

Duke and I went to the Agility4Fun class#2. There was one new student that just joined, but definitely the class has gotten smaller. It is still not a 4:1, one instructor per four student ratio as written on their website. This time we had 8 dogs, still too many. That means less practice time for each dog, getting fewer attentions from the instructor. I am not happy about having to drive more than an hour round trip just for less than one hour net lesson time. Well, I already paid for six classes. Besides, it seems Duke is really enjoying the class, he is enthusiastic (about the treats); we can’t find any treat that he doesn’t like yet. Agility4Fun class #2 Lesson 1 : Tunnel, Tunnel, Tunnel and Dogwalk. Lesson 2 : Seesaw; Since the Seesaw will frighten the dog and he might experience trauma , we have to slowly get accustomed to it. The practice was going down the center of the seesaw that the instructor was supporting, done twice each. Lesson 3 : Jump, Jump, Table(sit/lie five seconds) , Jump, change the direction and Jump. Of course, Duke was a honor student who can do everything without any troubles It is easy to train him who is food motivated. He works for food!! We have to thank John was training him so well on the bar stool. (John wanted me to write this line.) At the end of Dogwalk, there is a treat on the plastic container lid. Duke wanted more treats, so after finished the treat, he immediately turned back on Dogwalk, but there was no treat on the lid. He only can get the treat at the end of Dogwalk, but Duke didn’t know which should be one way. What he did next was…. so cute. Fished Dogwalk, ate treat, held the lid in his mouth and went back on Dogwalk. He wanted me to put the treat on lid at the other side of Dogwalk. He is too smart!! アジリティーのクラス二回目、新しい生徒が途中加入したようですが 先回より生徒数が減っています。 まぁ、私も期待以上(以下？）の「お遊びクラス」で最初のクラスはガッカリでした。 正直、私も往復一時間以上かけて正味一時間弱、 しかも生徒数が多いので待ち時間が長いクラスへ行くのも 結構キツイなぁ～と思っています。 (ウェブには生徒4匹にインストラクター一人付くと書いて有るのですよね。 真っ赤な嘘ですね。） でも既に6回分のレッスン費を払っているので・・・ 頑張って行くしかないです。 Dukeはオヤツ(今回は夕食分のドックフード）を貰えるので張り切っています。 2回目のレッスンプログラム 1：トンネル、トンネル、トンネル、ドッグウォーク  2：シーソー シーソーは犬が怖い思いをするとトラウマになるので ゆっくりと慣れさせるということで インストラクターが支えているシーソーの中心から降りていく練習を二回しました。 3：ジャンプ、ジャンプ、テーブル（静止五秒）、ジャンプ、 方向を変えてジャンプ。 勿論、Dukeは全部問題なく出来る優等生。 食べ物の為なら何でもするのでトレーニングしやすいです。 ドッグウォークを渡り終えると 地面に置いてあるプラスティック容器の蓋の上に"オヤツ”を置いてあります。 Dukeはそれを食べた後、即、もっとオヤツを貰う為にドッグウォークを逆戻り。 ドッグウォークは一方通行なのですよね。逆戻りしてもそこにはオヤツ置き用の蓋がないのに気がついた彼は 蓋を咥えてドックウォークを逆戻りしようとします。 蓋さえ置けばオヤツを貰えると思ったのでしょうね。 頭良さ過ぎ！！！  Dukeはこのクラスを本当に楽しんでいるようです。 留守番係のDuchが可哀想なので先週末、 ドッグパーク(犬の公園）に連れて行ってきました。 その事はYouTube動画を貼り付けることが出来るアメーバブログを 試してみている最中でそちらには既に書きました。 楽天ブログを使い慣れている私にはYouTube動画貼り付け機能以外は楽天の方が使いやすいかな？
