MSU Alumni Club of Japan Annual Meeting

The MSU Alumni Club of Japan cordially invites all members to attend our annual meeting scheduled on May 10 (Saturday). Please bring family, friends, and prospective students with you to enjoy socializing with other Spartans.
19 Business School students and 15 Communication Department students will join our meeting again this year to welcome 36 Junior and Senior students from MSU who will visit various firms and facilities in Japan in May for a Study Abroad program.
Dr. Sarah Singer, Assistant Director of the MSU International Business Center and Dr. Constantinos Coursaris, Director of Graduate Studies, Media & Information will take students to Japan. Our board member and an active Director of International Alumni Relations, Ms. Claire Brender will also attend the meeting for the opportunity to participate in alumni activities in Japan.
Graduates of the past 5 years, 2009 to 2013: Free!
The fee of this annual meeting will be paid by the MSU Alumni Association; free for graduates from 2009 to 2013! Thanks to this generous offer from the International Alumni Association, we strongly urge all current members to invite recent graduates to this meeting.
Mini Organ Concert by Ms. Hiroko Takahashi
Before the reception, Ms. Hiroko Takahashi, a renowned Pipe Organist will give an Organ recital at JAL City with the MSU Shadows. Please enjoy this gifted organist’s performance.
During the annual meeting, Mr. Toichiro Takenaka and Mr. Hiroo Saionji, both newly appointed Chairman and Vice Chairman will make introductory speeches in addition to the welcome speech by Mr. Tetsuya Imai, Chief Representative of the MSU Alumni Club of Japan.
As always, it will be a wonderful opportunity to converse with current MSU students about their impressions of Japan and what they are studying at MSU. Plus, the Spartans’ outstanding performance at the Rose Bowl football game and the BigTen’s basketball championship this year will provide for exciting topics.
A buffet style dinner meeting with videos played of Spartan Athletics is a customary tradition of this meeting. This will truly infuse attendees with the Spartan Spirit!
