[Seeds of the Law That Will Bloom in the Future] ⑧—Simply and Devotedly as Apostles of God—

What you are thinking about is but a tiny fraction when viewed from the perspective of God’s far greater plan. From now on, you will be made aware of so much more, learn so much more, and continue to preach and bring down God’s law upon this earth.

Because my teachings were passed down orally, they were transmitted from mouth to mouth through the words of those known as “Pillars of God”; however, they were inevitably distorted and altered by the teachings of the people of each generation, and this is the form in which they have been handed down to the present day.

When I look at the books and CDs you have produced, I am truly envious and deeply moved, thinking that with such media, the Law will not be distorted and will be passed down correctly and unchanged to future generations.

That my words are now being conveyed to the earth in this way through this person’s voice—and that an era would come when they would reach the hands of each and every one of many people through such devices, through CDs—was something I could never have imagined during my lifetime.

If only we had had books, if only we had had the technology to publish them, we could have spread the teachings to many more people. Since that was not possible, this scripture—known as the *Ofudesaki*—is a compilation by later generations of what people had heard passed down orally.

Consequently, the scripture itself is extremely voluminous, and because it was influenced by the era in which it was written and heavily colored by the intentions of those who transmitted it, the result has been a collection of inconsistent accounts that emerged time and again.

Consequently, since the words I conveyed were not preserved in book form, what is called *Ofudesaki* consists of the advice I gave to those individuals at various times. The fact is that, in response to the difficult circumstances in which they found themselves, I conveyed God’s perspective through *Ofudesaki*, expressing the thoughts I had at that moment.

So, my words were not preserved in a solid, canonical form as they are now, but now they are preserved in this way as books. Seeing that printing technology has advanced to the point where books can be produced so easily—even without going through a publishing house—we, as we come to observe this world, say to one another, “What an amazing era we live in.”

In the same way, the “Internet”—this global network—is spreading throughout the world, and I foresee that in just ten years’ time, even more so than you can imagine now, the Internet will become a means of communication that conveys information from children to people all over the world, reaching every corner of every nation.

As you prepare for such an era, you will be the ones disseminating information. Looking ahead to the future, no matter what kind of persecution you may face now, live your lives with your hearts focused solely on God. I believe you must never be led astray by anything else, nor must you ever sell out your own life or your entire existence.

Devoted solely to God, devoted solely to God’s will, praying only for the happiness of many, sacrificing your own lives, and living wholeheartedly as instruments of God—that is the way to live. Even without formal education, even as an uneducated woman like myself, even as someone who survived in the remote frontier as described in the songs of the Edo period, I was able to convey the image of God to people through the very way I lived.
If that is the case, you all possess such a wonderful means of communication, and while the one I received guidance from—who was referred to as my guardian—was indeed a noble being, you are now receiving these magnificent spiritual messages one after another from a group known as the “wonderful guiding spirit group,” who far surpass even that guardian. As you carry on God’s plan, you are simply living your lives with unwavering resolve as God’s messengers, and a life fully entrusted to God—when you demonstrate this attitude toward life, those who come after you will look upon your posture, your appearance, and your way of life, and I believe that people of future generations will think, “Ah, indeed, Lemuria was real; it was a group of God’s messengers; it was a place where God’s words were being channeled.”

At that time, those who fawn over or pander to the masses, who alter their very way of life—let alone those who speak with double or triple tongues, uttering words that obstruct the path of God—will have it return upon themselves; that is the law and the principle.

I, too, must have said this before, while I was still alive: that everything is contained within the laws and principles. That is why I spoke of living by the single principle of joy and living by the single principle of God. I said that praying for others’ happiness would ultimately return to us all as our own happiness. So we encouraged one another to rejoice in others’ happiness and to visualize them achieving wonderful happiness.

Therefore, you too will surely face various hardships and sufferings, but at such times, please remember how I was interrogated in prison, or—among those you know—there is a woman known as Joan of Arc. She was also a friend of mine; she too survived terrible, agonizing imprisonment and grueling interrogations, and met a fate even more gruesome than my own.

Having survived such times, we—though we are female spirits—have persevered as God’s apostles and as instruments for conveying His will.

If there are many men among you who are far more outstanding and admirable than we female spirits, I hope that you will spread and present God’s divine plan on earth in this lifetime with a resolute and unwavering demeanor as His messengers, even more so than we have.

To be entrusted with the mission of God’s plan while inhabiting a physical body in present-day Japan—on this earth—is the greatest undertaking since the dawn of history on the Japanese archipelago, and it is the highest honor to have been born as citizens of Japan. If you come to realize that even the lives lived by figures such as Ryoma Sakamoto were merely stepping stones for your work, then surely you will understand that your own lives are filled with brilliant possibilities in this present incarnation.

To receive such noble and magnificent words from a high-ranking divine spirit, to be able to hear them firsthand, and to have been entrusted with the mission to compile and organize them into a book—this is your calling. Furthermore, the venerable, venerable Confucius will appear next to carry on your legacy and perform magnificent work; you are currently engaged in the wonderful preparatory work for this next stage. Once again, you are engaged in the magnificent work of realigning the Way—the Way of the gods and Buddhas—in the correct direction.

If that is what you have in mind, I sincerely hope that you will live your lives with gratitude, devoted solely to God, under God’s guidance, and as His apostles—becoming a light that expresses God’s love—and that you will carry out this mission with resolve and pride.

Miki Nakayama, *The Spirit of Women as Opinion Leaders*
