Amidst towering snow-clad peaks with heights varying from 1,000 m to 8, 000 meters, the regions of Gilgit, Hunza and Baltistan recall Shangri-La.
People say that Hunza is the model place of Japanese animation, "Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind"by Hayao Miyazaki.

One of the major attractions of Chitral are the Kalash valleys- the home of the Kafir-Kalash or "Wearers of the Black Robes", a primitive pagan tribe. Their ancestry is enveloped in mystery and is the subject of controversy. A legend says that five soldiers of the legions of Alexander of Macedonia settled in Chitral and are the progenitors of the Kafir-Kalash.

チタルで一番に目をひくものは、カラーシャ谷です。－カフィール・カラーシャ人(黒いローブを着る人達）の里は、古代からの異教徒の一族が住む里です。彼らの祖先は、ミステリアスに包まれ論争のまとです。彼ら伝説では、マケドニアのアレグサンダーの軍団の5人の兵士が彼らの先祖です。
