作家のJ・K・ローリングが、間もなく「ハリー・ポッター」シリーズ7作目となる最終章の執筆を始めるようだ。ローリングは「興奮しているし、恐ろしいわ。ハリーなしの人生は想像できない」とコメント。「この数週間、7作目の執筆のための準備を充分にしてきたから、1月から執筆を開始できる」と語っている。

最新刊「ハリー・ポッターと謎のプリンス」は2005年の夏に出版され、世界的ベストセラーとなった。映画第5作『ハリー・ポッターと不死鳥の騎士団』では、ダニエル・ラドクリフの続投出演で、2月から撮影が開始される予定。
