I just love this scene so much. Hadley supposedly starting “sobbing like a little girl” when he was being arrested and at the start of the movie he beat a prisoner to death for crying. He just knew the same hell he put his prisoners through was waiting for him and same with the warden and thats why he killed himself.
To Norton and Hadley they should say the same what in czech detective show said the cop to the murdere doctor. To them dear gentleman you over the years as a Warden and main guard got used to that prisinors are in youre power you controlled everyone and no one will believe because Warden of jail and guard must be honest.
