Shimidu

しみづ賛は、世界に正面から手を伸ばそうとする。

世界から閉め出され、廃棄処分寸前のモノたちを救出し、
新たなオブジェへと組み換える。
だが出来上がるのは、しみづの審美眼を経て構築された、
ドリーミイでラブリーな装置だ。
しみづは、世界の欠片を選別することから逃れられない自らの暴力性を嫌悪する。
世界に手を伸ばしてもいつも届かない。
オブジェにはその葛藤が刻印される。







Akira Shimidu tries to save the world by collecting hurt and withered objects
about to be scrapped and then reconstructing them into novel objects.

The re-born objects, however, are forced to have a fancy and dreamy appearance,
since he cannot but select and reconstruct them with his own aesthetic sense.

Finding this act subversively violent, he gets disgusted with himself, and this
mental conflict is also embodied in the objects.
