It's a violent version of Home Alone - but not as believable.

A very unlikeable 12 year old girl suddenly turns into an assassin that outsmarts and brutally takes out 4 grown men. The movie can't decide whether it wants to be gritty, or ridiculously / hilariously unrealistic.

The chemistry between the characters is terrible. The girl, as mentioned, is too unlikeable to root or care for. The plot is not the most exciting. And the motives of the villains centre around a mysterious key - in which its purpose is never even revealed.

So as far as the view is left concerned, a whole bunch of violence and death occurs for absolutely nothing.

Lulu just doesn't have the acting chops to pull off a convincing character in this poorly written and corny effort. Both she and the other antagonists make head-shaking decisions. It's another "Why, WHY did you do that. kind of movie. The only actors I liked were the dogs.

This was idiotic on so many levels! First, They were able to break out prison and pull off all that stuff but then they get to the house and this little girl beats kills them all? And one of the guys cannot swim? They can break out of jail and they are serious criminals but it just so happens the one that can't swim ends up being put in a situation where he kinda drowns and kind gets his head chopped off by a little girl that has lost her mind. Then the girl comes back to the house and puts a smiley face on the window and stares into the house like she has lost her mind. Who comes up with this stuff? Oh ya, I know what this reminds me of, with of course some minor deviations, and that is, the freaking Home Alone movie, but a modern day version with a girl and lots of violence and gore. I have come to the conclusion that gore and extreme violence was once capable of substituting lack of a good plot and acting etc which is why so many movies use it, and it works on the low IQ crowd, but as film buffs notice, the best scary movies are rarely the more gory and violent because they know how to scare you a methodical and intelligent method whereas these types are for cheap effects because they don't actually have substance to fill the complete length of the film. But I digress. And the BIG GUY he just ends up walking away towards the end? So he goes through all that just to pack up shop because he had a flash back with his own family drama? And just decides to walk off to do some deep philosophical thinking? Who writes this stuff? This is why Hollywood is eating its self alive!

But that is not all because there is also something weird about seeing a young girl like this behave in such a gruesome and violent way, especially in a film where you have staunch liberals who are so against guns, and violence, but yet, have no problem having an underage girl drown another human being while chopping his head to bits in their movie. I have no idea why people like seeing such a young girl act so violent and psychopathic. She stabs the guy to death like a maniac.

This film is one of many films that makes me scratch my head because kids today are killing themselves in mass numbers. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for 13-24 year olds. Statistics show they are more likely to die by their own hands committing suicide than by another person killing them! Kids don't need movies like this, and although this wasn't necessarily marketed to kids, they are still going to watch it.

Kevin James is trying to change his role in films. He can't seem to avoid being the same guy because even in this film he ends up being the fat, stupid, angry criminal guy that everyone laughs at because he is stupid and fat. Essentially the same role which he cannot deviate from for some reason although he tried in this film but it didn't work and he was still portrayed in the same way.
