今日、仕事から帰宅したら、今度の日曜日の午後から始まる近所の私設動物園のふれあい動物ボランティアの案内ハガキが届いていた。
ここに引っ越してきてから、楽しいと思えないことばかり。
でも、これだけは違った。ここに来て、初めて自分から何かやってみたいと思えたし、好きなことでもあった。
たかがボランティアかもしれないが、動物という命と関わる活動だからこそ、3ヶ月間の研修も受け、試験や面接も受けなくてはいけない。ゆえに決してボランティアになれるという保証もない。なれなかったら、それはそれでもいいと思う。ただ動物好きだからこそ、これを機に好きなことができるチャンスがもらえたような気がしてとてもうれしいし、動物は人の心を癒してくれるということを伝えるチャンスが与えられたような気がしてうれしい。そして、そこで知り合える動物好きな人達との交流も楽しみである。

When I came home from work today, there was a announcement mail from the neighborhood private zoo.
It was an announcement about petting zoo volunteers meetings.
Ever since we moved to the new city, nothing seemed good at all.
But this was different. It was something that I wanted to try on my own will for the first time since we moved and it was also something I like,too.
Even if I'm just a petting zoo volunteer, because it's handling animals lives,
I must take 3 months study courses, exams and interviews. So there's no gurantee, that I'll be a petting zoo volunteer. Even if I can't become a petting zoo volunteer, I'll feel bad but that's alright,too. I'm just happy to be able to have a chance to do some volunteering concerning animals because I love them. I'm also happy because I feel hat I had givena chance to tell others tabout animal therapy. And I hope I can be aquainted with some animal loving people there,too.
