PCの普及と共にどんどんネットも便利になり、
今やネットで音楽ダウンロードや動画配信など当たり前の時代。
私が小学生の頃はまだラジカセを持ってることが憧れの時代。
初めてラジカセを買ってもらった時はうれしくて、夢中で
ラジオ番組や周囲を静かにさせてテレビ番組をカセットに
録画したものでした。
中学生になる頃にはCD付きステレオ全盛期。
同時にVHSビデオの全盛期。テレビも録画しまくり。
カセットからCDへの移行期で、カセットの音に比べて音質が
はるかにきれいで、初めてCDの音を聴いた時は感動したな。
高校に入る頃にはレンタルCD屋さんができはじめ、買えないCDを
借りてきてよく聴いてました。
高校生の頃は音楽好きが高じて放送部。
あとは友人の依頼で運動部の幽霊部員の掛け持ち。
放送部とは名だけ。ただの音楽好きの集団が部費で好きなレンタルCDを
借りてきては、ただひたすらいいと思って好き勝手にかけていた。
そんな毎日でした。
でもこの間、自分のCDやカセットやビデオ等を整理していてフッと思った。
これだけ苦労して集めた「当時のレアな宝物」は今ではすぐにネットで動画配信
されていたり、ダウンロードできたりできるんだよな。
そう思うと...何でもすぐに観たり聴いたりできてすごく便利なはずなのに...
なんだか妙に切ない気持ちになりました。

As the world of PCs becomes one of the neccesaties in the society,
the internet networks are becoming very convinient and it is very
easy to make music downloads and watch movies, too.
When I was in elementary school, having a radio cassette recorder
at home was like a dream.
When I got one myself, I was so happy that I recorded many radio programs
and TV programs. When I recordered TV programs I had to make everyone quiet.
As I was becoming a freshman in junior highschool, the era was now turning
into an era of CD stereos.
At the same time, VHS video was becoming popular, too.
I recorded many TV programs.
It was a changing era of cassettes to CDs.
Compared to cassettes, CDs had much more clear sound and I was
impressed when I first heard it.
By the time I was going on to highschool, rental CD shops started
around everywhere.
I was able to rent many CDs that I was unable to buy then.
When I got into highschool, I joined the Brodacasting club.
I also belonged to an athletic club because my friend asked me to join.
It was a club with just the name of the club.
We were just kids, who just really loved music.
We would go out and rent CDs at the rental shops with our club money
and play the tunes and listen to our favorite musics.
That was what I was doing those days.
The other day, I was organizing my cassettes, CDs and videos.
Then I stopped to think for a minute, all these "rare treasures" that
I had collected during those days, one can see or download right now,
right away on the internet.
I know that it's very convinient to see and download right now and right away,
but somehow it just made me feel very sentimental.
