話飲徒然草〜Tokyo Meanderings

17年の長きにわたって続いていた、まとめブログ「暇人速報」が８月に入ってから更新されていないと一部ネット民の間で話題になっている。
5chのスレッドなどの内容をまとめた、（ほとんどの場合）他愛のないまとめサイトだが、アフィリエイト広告が少なめで見やすいことなどもあって、長年なんとなく巡回しているサイトのひとつだった。どれぐらい「長年」かというと、たぶん15年近く巡回していたと思う。下世話なネタをここで仕入れることも少なくなくて、そういう意味では、かなり役立っていたといえるかもしれない。
その「暇人速報」が７月末以来更新されていないのだ。管理人からは何のアナウンスもなく、コメント欄は憶測であふれている。
このまま更新されないとすると、なんだかとても寂しい。しかも最後の記事が
【悲報】「蕎麦」とかいう自炊最強のメシｗｗｗｗｗｗｗｗ
というなんともショッパイ記事なのも泣ける。
まあまだ1週間なので、ひょっとしたら海外旅行にでも行っているのかもしれないし、もう少し待ってみたいと思うが…。

The long-running matome blog Himajin Sokuhou, which had been active for an impressive 17 years, hasn't been updated since the beginning of August—and that’s got some netizens talking.

It was a typical aggregation site, mostly pulling together lighthearted (and often silly) threads from 5ch. But with fewer intrusive ads than most, it was one of those sites I found myself visiting regularly for years—probably close to 15 years, actually. It often served as a source for lowbrow gossip and internet oddities, and in that sense, it was surprisingly useful.

Now, however, Himajin Sokuhou has gone silent since late July. There's been no word from the site admin, and the comment section is filled with speculation.

If the site really is shutting down for good, it would feel like the end of an era. To make things worse, the last post is this rather underwhelming one:
"Tragic: Soba Might Just Be the Ultimate Homemade Meal LOL" —not exactly the grand finale it deserves.

That said, it’s only been a week. Maybe the admin is off on an overseas trip or just taking a break. I’ll try to stay hopeful for a little longer...
