話飲徒然草〜Tokyo Meanderings

2022年の9月にこのような記事を書いた。
巡回しているブロガーさんの健康が心配！

その後、ブログは2023年9月17日を最後に更新が止まっていた。

先日中央高速で上野原ICを通った際、久しぶりにこのブログを思い出した。
ブログは相変わらず更新されていない。
Youtubeでこの作者にインタビューした動画があったことを思い出し、そちらにアクセスしてみたところ、コメント欄に以下の投稿があった。

こばじぃは体調不良によりしばらく療養していましたが、この度令和7年6月末に永眠しました。八重山で出会った皆様、こばじぃに会いに来て下さった皆様、日頃お世話になった皆様本当にありがとうございました！娘より

私の地元三軒茶屋から上野原に移住されたということで、一方的に親近感を抱いていたのだが、結局あいさつする機会もなかった。こんなことなら、ブログにコメントぐらい残しておけばよかった。

In September 2022, I wrote the following entry:
Worried about the health of a fellow blogger!

After that, the blog had not been updated since September 17, 2023.

The other day, when I drove past the Uenohara interchange on the Chuo Expressway, this blog suddenly came back to mind. I checked it again, but it was still dormant. I remembered there had once been a YouTube video featuring an interview with the author, so I went there to have a look. In the comments section, I found the following post:

“Kobajii had been recuperating due to illness, but passed away peacefully at the end of June, 2025. To everyone he met in Yaeyama, to all who came to visit him, and to those who supported him in daily life, thank you so much! —From his daughter”

Since he had moved from my hometown, Sangenjaya, to Uenohara, I had felt a kind of one-sided closeness to him. Yet I never had the chance to actually say hello. Looking back, I wish I had at least left a comment on his blog.
