立ち食いそば食べ歩き2025~神保町「梅市」 Tachigui Soba Tour 2025 – “Umeichi” in Jimbocho
神保町駅の南側から竹橋にかけてのエリアには立ち食い蕎麦屋がほとんどなく、結果、個人的には全く評価していない「ゆで太郎」が毎日活況を呈しているのが実情だ。この店は最近たまたま三井住友銀行に用があって行った際に見つけた店。今まで気づかなったのは、ほんの少し靖国通りの北側に位置しているからだ(靖国通りを渡ってランチに行くことはめったにない)。店主が一人でオペレーションしていて、店に入ったところで注文するのだが、配膳口も同じところなので、注文が重なるとすぐに順番待ちの列ができてしまうのが難点だ。とはいえ、蕎麦は独特のもっちりした食感があってなかなか美味しい。春菊天そばの春菊もガッツリとボリュームがある。ちなみにこの店の向かいには、いつもとんでもない行列ができているうどん屋がある。こちらも機会があれば入ってみたいと思う。立喰いそば梅市On the stretch from the south side of Jimbocho Station toward Takebashi, there are virtually no tachigui soba shops. As a result, the chain Yudetarō—which I personally don’t rate highly at all—ends up being packed with customers every day.I found this place recently when I happened to visit the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation nearby. I had never noticed it before, probably because it sits just a bit north of Yasukuni-dori. I almost never cross Yasukuni-dori for lunch, so it had been off my radar.The owner runs the entire operation alone. You place your order right at the entrance, but the pickup counter is in the same spot. So when several customers place their orders at once, a short line quickly forms—one drawback of the setup.That said, the soba itself has a pleasantly unique, chewy texture and is quite tasty. The shungiku tempura that comes with the shungiku-ten soba is also generously portioned.Incidentally, there’s an udon shop directly across the street that always has a shockingly long line. I’d like to give that one a try as well someday.
