I needed to sleep on everything and think about it all last night. I'm still not done thinking. This movie was so incredibly brilliant. Smooth, natural, high tension. It changes tones completely at least 4 times, and every bit of cinematography in this movie is perfect. The music, subtle enough in scenes and whimsical, makes the entire scene turns sour when just that subtle violin or another abrasive string plays quietly, a single instrument shifts the scenes color completely. No loose ends in this movie, and every person here feels like a real and genuine human you might find on shameless, or at times it felt like Veep or Parks and rec with how characters talk to each other, very down to earth and relatable. This movie is beyond engaging, delivering funny lines perfectly, while other times perfectly capturing the moment of horror and fear. This movie is a must watch, it's hard not to appreciate the work and ideas put into this film after viewing it. 11/10 Recommend.

I just saw the movie and I agree that it's fantastic and one of the best of the year, but that's a really long list for 2019. I just thought the massive plotholes were the only things keeping it from being a true masterpiece. Why didn't he just say hey my sister would be good for this? why did he have to pretend he didn't know her? They didn't seem to have already formulated the entire plot of bringing them all in, and I don't recall them ever mentioning why he didn't want them to know they were related. Also the buttons that controlled the lights were pretty unbelievable. Like why would that have been built that way? That was a huge MacGuffin that I found distracting when it came up. Also nothing ever came of the young boy decoding the message, so that seemed pointless. But despite all of that it was a great film and the acting and cinematography were near perfect. It's a must-see for sure.

This film is a masterpiece, a cinematic slap. Parasite is cinematic perfection. It's not just my favourite film of the year, it's in my top 10 of my best movies of the last decade. Just when you think you know what type of movie it is, it suddenly becomes a completely different movie when you least expect it. Crazy, funny, incredibly smart, mixing genres! I loved it. I've tried to keep my review to a minimum because the less said about this movie the better, everyone needs to see this movie.
Speaking about the rock: I really wanted to make the audience curious. AND HE DID! I didn't know if the movie is horror or what. I was wondering if the rock is possessed and evil or not, if the movie will revolve around it. Very clever Mr. Joon-Ho.

This scene is amazing! The way it builds more and more tension, the plan that becomes more risky with each new addition, the orchestra music that slowly swells, becoming more leading to the perfect ending. Always gives me chills.

I truly loved this movie, its so well paced and its like pure art. People are upset that this movie won because its not made in the US. People need to realize that other places are making WAY better movies than what the US is crapping out these days which are remakes and horrible movies.
