今日は200形電車。

1928（昭和3）年にドイツ・デュワグ社で造られた路面電車で第二次世界大戦で被災。戦後の1948（昭和23）年に車体を改めて新製した戦争復興車（アウフバウヴァーゲン）。1950（昭和25）年から1976（昭和51）年までハノーバー市電として活躍し、引退後は同市の路面電車博物館に保存されていた。1988（昭和63）年、広島市とハノーファー市が姉妹都市となってから5年を迎えるにあたり、広島市が茶室を同市に寄贈したお返しとして広電に移籍。11～3月の間、日曜・祝日に8号線で活躍が見られるほか、毎年の「クリスマス電車」もこの電車で運転される。顔の向かって左上にドイツの国旗が飾られ、車体には「Hannover grüßt Hiroshima 姉妹都市ハノーバーから広島市民のみなさんへ - 心をこめて -」の文字が書かれている。


This time is 200 Series.

200 Series is manufactured in Germany, 1928, and damaged by World War II. After the war, in 1948, its body was reproduced (one of the tram vehicle called "aufbauwagen" in German). It had run on Hannover tram from 1950 to 1976. After its retirement, it had run on the railway in German Tram Museum in Hannover. In 1988, Hannover City gave it in return for a tea-ceremony room Hiroshima City presented to mark 5th anniversary of friendship between Hiroshima and Hannover. It runs on Inner City Line no.8 between Yokogawa Station and Eba Stop, only from November to next March, and as the Christmas Tram. It has flag of Germany on the roof and says "Hannover grüßt Hiroshima" ("Hannover greets Hiroshima" in German) on the body.
